Meaning of Video Across Five Apps
At least four different features hide behind the one word. LuckyLove AI animates a still photo, Nomi generates clips of 5, 10 or 15 seconds, Kindroid offers video calls plus selfies and videos, and Replika Platinum includes up to 10 realistic selfie videos. Candy.ai lists video among the features paid for in tokens.
| App | What video means | Who gets it | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| LuckyLove AI | A delivered photo animated into a short clip | Premium holders | 30 coins per clip, no auto-renewal |
| Nomi | Generated clips of 5, 10 or 15 seconds | Paid plans only | Auto-renewing plan |
| Kindroid | Video calls, plus selfies and videos | Subscribers | Auto-renewing plan |
| Replika | Up to 10 realistic selfie videos | Platinum tier | Auto-renewing plan |
| Candy.ai | Video drawn from tokens | Premium | Per-action token costs not published |
Kindroid is the one app here that lists video calls by name. Anyone who pictures an AI girlfriend on a face-to-face call should know that before paying anywhere else.
Clip Price on LuckyLove AI
Thirty coins buys one animation, according to the billing page, which prices the photo itself at 15 coins. A clip therefore costs 45 coins counting the photo it starts from, because nothing can be animated until a photo has been delivered. Premium, sold as a fixed 1, 3 or 6-month term, is required for both steps.
Failed output is not charged. If a photo or clip does not generate or deliver, the coins return automatically. The USD cost of Premium and of the 100, 200 and 500-coin packs stays unpublished: amounts appear only at checkout and can vary by region.
Standalone Generators Marked Soon
Neither standalone generator works yet. LuckyLove AI's site menu shows Generate Video and Generate Image with a Soon label as of 14.10.2026, along with Roleplay Games.
Clips and photos are delivered inside conversations, and that is the whole media pipeline today. You ask your AI girlfriend for a picture in the chat, it arrives as a message, and the option to animate it comes after.
Read the menu label literally. A Soon tag is a plan, not a feature. Buying Premium for a generator that has not shipped would be a mistake. Buying it for in-chat photos and their animated versions is a fair trade, as long as that is what you expect to receive.
Video Calls on Rival Apps
Kindroid is the clearest answer for live video. Kindroid's subscription docs list voice and video calls, selfies and videos among subscriber features, with Standard at $15.99 a month on the US App Store. Its free side is a one-time preview of 50 messages, after which the account turns read-only.
Replika ties calling to its paid tiers too. Its Pro help page puts voice and AR calls behind Pro, and the Platinum tier adds real-time video recognition next to those 10 selfie videos. Nomi keeps voice, calls and video paid-only. Every one of these plans renews automatically until cancelled.
Content Rules for Animated Clips
Adult content is allowed on LuckyLove AI and Candy.ai, restricted on Nomi and banned on Replika. LuckyLove AI permits uncensored adult conversation for users 18 and over, keeps every character fictional and over 18, and bans content sexualizing minors or depicting non-consent. Candy.ai allows 18+ images and videos for adults.
Nomi is the cautionary case. The app markets unfiltered chat, yet its photo rules state that Nomis are not permitted to take nude photos. Replika's terms ban pornographic content outright, which limits what its selfie videos can show.
Same Face Across Photo and Clip
Continuity comes built in, because a clip starts from a photo she has already delivered. The homepage claims a LuckyLove AI character stays the same person in every photo, so the animated version should carry the face, hair and outfit you have already seen. Treat that as a marketing line, not a contract term. Section 20.4 of the Terms of Service disclaims any guarantee of consistent personality, memory or behavior, which argues for some caution about looks as well.
For most people a familiar face matters more in a clip than variety does. A moving version of a picture you liked is worth 30 coins, while a random new face rarely feels like the same AI companion.
Weekly Coin Cost of Daily Clips
Three hundred fifteen coins cover a week of one photo and one clip per day, at 45 coins a round. The daily bonus tops out at 30 coins after a full streak, so it never pays for a full round on its own, and the 500-coin pack is the size that fits this habit with room for messages.
Clips are the expensive part of any AI girlfriend coin budget. Text costs 1 coin per message with no daily cap, so a single clip equals thirty messages. Coins never expire, which softens the math: a pack bought for a busy week still works a month later.
FAQ
Can my AI girlfriend video call me on LuckyLove AI?
No. LuckyLove AI has no video calls as of October 2026. Its video feature is photo-to-clip animation inside the chat, priced at 30 coins per clip with Premium.
How long are AI girlfriend video clips?
Five, ten or fifteen seconds on Nomi, which publishes those lengths. LuckyLove AI describes its animations only as short clips and does not list a duration.
Do I need Premium for every clip?
Yes, an active Premium term is required, and each animation still costs 30 coins. Premium never auto-renews, and buying again while it is active extends the term.
Are generated clips kept after I delete my account?
For 30 days only. The Privacy Policy keeps generated media for that window after account deletion, while payment and moderation records stay for 180 days.
Is Replika selfie video free?
No. Selfie videos come with Replika Platinum, listed alongside Free, Pro and Ultra. US App Store subscription prices run from $7.99 to $89.99, with no public mapping of prices to tiers.
